Guidelines for
Participant Teachers
Particiapant Teachers MUST:
- Be a current k-12 teacher
- Posses intermediate-level computer skills
- Commit to completing 32 hours of in-class training as well as 16-plus hours of required take-home Planning Ahead activities
Teacher Benefits Include:
- Free, practical, standards-based, hands-on-training on integrating technology into the classroom curriculum
- Creation of a Unit Portfolio that intergrates technology into your existing curriculum
- Continuing education credits (CEUs) in a 50-50 split, if needed, between technology and a specific subject ( ex: Reading)
Course Details:
- Schedule consists of 4-hour sessions every Wednesday, for 8 sessions
- First class (Module 1) will begin on October 1, 2008
- Class will begin promptly at 8:00 am and will end at 12:00 pm
- Last class (Module 8) will conclude on November 19, 2008
- All materials will be provided
- Location-RMS Computer Lab
- 10 participants will be determined on a first come first serve bases
- Presenter will be Myra Waldroup
